Here are just a few samples of the shots Charlie and I took at a friends wedding a few weeks ago. It was a great day and a very nice wedding! Mostly just simple edits in RAW converter.

Its been a long while since my last post. Since then I’ve got myself a 5D2 which I’m pretty excited about. At the moment I have just paired it up with the 70-200 f2.8, which im loving. I’m still yet to test it out in a landscape, but stay tuned. I’m down to my place in Yallingup over easter so might give it a run then!

Charlie and I took some shots at a mates wedding a couple of weekends ago. Its something I have never done before, but it was really good fun. We have plenty of shots to edit but here is one I was playing around with last night. Charlie and I will probably upload some more shots of the wedding at a later date.

First portrait shot for the blog! I’ve been playing around learning some new photoshop techniques, and thought I would try them out on this portrait of my friend Hayley.

I quite like the effect, hope you do too..

Hope everyone has checked out Mark and Jamie’s exhibition down in Freo. Some great work down there so I suggest checking it out. I know it gives me some motivation to pull my finger out and get shooting some more!

Hi All,

Here is another shot from up at Aiguille du Midi, some 4000m above sea level. Pretty amazing place up there. Massive granite rocks sticking straight up for thousands of feet. Hard to get an idea of the scale from these shots but you can see a stair case leading up the the rock formation. In the summer its a popular place for rock climbers. I feel like the shot is missing an element such as a rock climber, might have to photoshop one in there at some stage.

Hi All,

Here is another shot of the small bar in Chamonix, France. Its at 2317m above sea level. You can’t really tell, but the mountains in the background go up another 1600m, taking it to nearly 4000m about sea level. There is another gondola that took us to the top. Pretty amazing views from up there, and very windy! Could also start to feel the effects of altitude, with some people having to come back down as they felt sick. I walked up a few sets of steps and I was buggered! Would take a lot of altitude training to be able to climb large mountains without oxygen!

Not the exact composition I wanted for this shot, but I was on a narrow ridge so didnt have any room to move and the gondola back down was waiting for me. A quick 3 shot handheld stitch was all i could manage! Would love to have stayed up there for a bit longer for the sunset.

Happy New Year. I’m on my way back from Paris now, ringing in the new year on the plane!! doh…! Hope everyone has a great new years eve, and an even better 2011. I look forward to seeing everyone in the blogging community continue to post great images.
